Course Description

To enable students to know the use of physics in modern society and technology. Fundamental laws of nature are emphasized with examples of various applications in daily life. Moreover, selected topics of physics relevant to modern society are included. Topics are presented at an introductory level for the students with little or no background in physical science.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO)

1. Students will be able to describe the basic principles and concepts that constitute the discipline of Physics.

2. Students will be able to articulate how Physics impacts life and society.

3. Students will be able to critically read and evaluate information about Physics from various sources.

4. Students will be able to describe how Physics is a part of everyday life with examples.
