Application and Admission Rules

For admission to our bachelor programme, non-local* applicants may consider to apply via two admission channels.  They are:

  1. Admission Examination;
  2. Direct Admission.

*Applicants’ identity is subject to the type of personal identification held, not the current school location or study curriculum. Non-local refers to non-Macao applicants holding a valid foreign passport for admission. Mainland China applicants (Mainland China I.D./passport holders) should follow admission requirement for Mainland China students at website

1. Admission Examination (Application Period: 5 – 20 January, 2021)
Applicants with any of the following qualifications may apply for bachelor’s programme by Admission Examination:

  • Form 6 graduates or equivalent;
  • Candidates currently studying in Form 6 or equivalent;
  • For applicants aged 23 or above on 1 September 2021 with related working experience, the admission requirements stated above may be exempted.  However, they must sit for the Admission Examinations as required.
2. Direct Admission (Application Period: 1 December, 2020 – 16 April, 2021)
Applicants with any of the following qualifications may apply for bachelor’s programme by Direct Admission: English Requirement
General Certificate of Education – Advanced Level (GCE – A Level) Students applying for a programme with English as the main teaching medium have to attend an interview to evaluate the applicant’s English proficiency for admission. Applicants who have attained the following results may be exempted from the said interview:

1) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

  • Paper-based test: a minimum score of 550; or
  • Internet-based test: a minimum score of 79; or

2) International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Band 6.0 or above.

3) International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE): Grade C or above in English subject.

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), Malaysia
Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
Mathayom Suksa 6, including the Ordinary National Education Test (O-NET) Statement of Result, Thailand
SMA Ujian Sekolah and SMA Ujian Nasional, Indonesia
Canadian Secondary School Qualifications
Bachelor Degree Holder
Associate degree / higher diploma holder
Currently enrolled in a bachelor programme in other higher education  institution
Possess admission qualification to a bachelor programme

Remarks:

  1. Above admission requirement is extracted from our admission rules, please refer to our website for detailed admission requirement (item 4) and application procedures.
  2. On-line application will be available during the application period.
  3. An interview may be required for admission selection of undergraduate programmes.
  4. For applicants of Direct Admission, no further revision of programme choice or application information/documents can be accepted after the application fee has been settled as the University will process qualified applications in due course. For those who have applied programme(s) of Faculty of Law, the applications will be pooled for assessment after the deadline for Direct Admission.
