1. Admission channels and application requirements:

For admission to our bachelor programme, Hong Kong applicants may consider to apply via two admission channels.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications may apply by Admission Examination:

  • Form 6 graduates or equivalent;
  • Candidates currently studying in Form 6 or equivalent;
  • For applicants aged 23 or above on 1 September 2025

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) For year 2024 onwards
  • Successfully completed Form 6 or equivalent; or
  • Currently studying in Form 6 or equivalent; AND
  • Obtained the following results in HKDSE in one sitting:
    • Level 3 or above in English Language; and
    • Level 3 or above in Chinese Language; and
    • Level 2 or above in Mathematics; and
    • “Attained” in Citizenship and Social Development; and
    • Level 3 or above in two elective subjects (Category A)
  • For applicants to Faculty of Science and Technology, applicants must have obtained Level 3 or above in the elective subject of Physics.
  • For applicants to Faculty of Health Sciences, applicants must have obtained Level 3 or above in the elective subject of Chemistry
  • Academic transcripts for Form 6 or equivalent; and
  • HKDSE examination permit (HKDSE result must be submitted to the university upon release).
  • Form 6 completion certificate or equivalent; and
  • Academic transcripts for Form 6 or equivalent; and
  • HKDSE results.
Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) On or before year 2023
  • Successfully completed Form 6 or equivalent; AND
  • Obtained the following results in HKDSE in one sitting:
    • Level 3 or above in English Language; and
    • Level 3 or above in Chinese Language; and
    • Level 2 or above in Mathematics; and
    • Level 2 or above in Liberal Studies; and
    • Level 3 or above in one elective subject
  • For applicants to Faculty of Science and Technology, applicants must have obtained Level 3 or above in the elective subject of Physics.
  • For applicants to Faculty of Health Sciences, applicants must have obtained Level 3 or above in the elective subject of Chemistry
  • Form 6 completion certificate or equivalent; and
  • Academic transcripts for Form 6 or equivalent; and
  • HKDSE results.
Associate degree, higher diploma or bachelor programme
  • Bachelor Degree Holder
    • Successfully completed a bachelor programme and graduate of a bachelor degree; or
    • Potential graduate of a bachelor degree.
  • Testimonial to show currently working on a bachelor programme.
  • Official transcript of the bachelor programme.
  • Certificate of a bachelor programme; and
  • Official transcript of the bachelor programme.
  • Associate degree / higher diploma holder
    • Successfully completed an associate degree or higher diploma and graduate/holder of the degree/diploma; or
    • Potential graduate/holder of an associate degree or higher diploma; AND
    • Cumulative GPA must attain 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • Testimonial to show currently working on an associate degree/higher diploma.
  • Official transcript of the associate degree/higher diploma.
  • Certificate of an associate degree/higher diploma; and
  • Official transcript of the associate degree/higher diploma.
  • Currently enrolled / had registered in a bachelor programme in other higher education  institution
    • Successfully completed Form 6 or equivalent; and
    • Currently enrolled /had registered in a bachelor programme in other higher education institution.
  • Certificate for Form 6 or equivalent; and
  • Academic transcripts for Form 6 or equivalent; and
  • Testimonial to show currently enrolled/had registered in a bachelor degree; and
  • Official transcript issued by the higher education institution
  • Possess admission qualification to a bachelor programme
    • Successfully completed Form 6 or equivalent; or
    • Currently studying in Form 6 or equivalent; AND
    • Qualifications that are acceptable for admission to bachelor’s programme in higher education institutions outside Macao.
      • Hold an official offer letter for bachelor programme issued by a recognized higher education institution outside Macao. The offer must be of current admission year while all conditions, if any, must be fulfilled; or
      • Hold the public examination result for admission to a bachelor programme. If the result was taken in past years, the University has the right to request for additional information such as study record and transcript of higher education institutions thereafter from the time of examination taken.
  • Academic transcripts for Form 6 or equivalent in secondary school;

 AND

  • Official offer letter for bachelor programme of current year issued by a non-local higher education institution; or
  • Official public examination result.
  • Form 6 completion certificate or equivalent;

AND

  • Academic transcripts for Form 6 or equivalent; and
  • Official offer letter for bachelor programme of current year issued by a non-local higher education institution; or
  • Official public examination result.

2. English requirement

Students applying for a programme with English as the main teaching medium have to attend an interview to evaluate the applicant’s English proficiency for admission. Applicants who have attained the following results may be exempted from the said interview:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet-based test: a minimum score of 80; or
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Band 6.0 or above.
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE): Grade C / 5 or above in English subject.
